Monday Morning Moments: Sky Meditation
November 3rd, 2008Serenity. Focus. An internal sense of calm. This moment is about meditation. Sheathed in flowing orange fabric suspended from the trees, individual meditation sites weave down the hillside. The sheer netting provides just enough separation from the surroundings to promote focus while still maintaining a strong connection to nature, whether that nature is a caterpillar on a nearby twig or the distant views down the valley.

Monday Morning Moments: The Firefly Moment
October 27th, 2008Dusk darkens into night. The stars above appear to fall to the earth, gently twinkling down and then seeming to rise back into the night sky. Like fireflies in a mason jar, pillars of light flicker in a rhythmic dance as if celebrating the night’s enveloping darkness. Observers quietly contemplate the art, entranced by its sculptural flight.

Monday Morning Moments: The Hanging Bed
October 20th, 2008Spiders spinning. Spindly webs become restful havens in the sky. Dangling cradles of contemplation and silence. Like the apparent frailty of the web, a bed floats delicately above a carpet of soft moss, its tension gently quivering under the weight of its visitors. Suspended in air and cradled in solitude, eyes close and the sounds of the forest permeate the senses.
Monday Morning Moments: The Swimming Hole
October 13th, 2008Tucked away under the forest canopy. Smooth, massaging stones under tender bare feet. Immersed in water. Hidden by boulders and sunken into the earth, this swimming hole delivers year-round tactile sensations, whether it be a cool summer dip or a steaming winter soak. Ambling past ferns and rhododendrons, the approach path spirals into the sweet, cool depths of the forest, like water down a drain. A private grotto, reflecting the sky, soothing the soul.

Monday Morning Moments: The Story Circle
October 6th, 2008Night covers the earth, blackness becomes a blanket. A flickering light deep within the forest beckons the eye to discover its warmth and comfort. A place is discovered where ghost stories float up with the smoke from the fire into the unknown ink of the sky. And memories are created with the all-knowing stars gazing down unblinkingly upon you.
Letter from the Founder
October 3rd, 2008Incredible Tennis!!!
I would like to thank all of you who joined the Sky Family at the Outback Championship event in NC this past week. The new friends made and the continued relationships were the high point of the tournament, but a close second was the play of Anna Kournikova and Tim Wilkison in a mixed doubles match against Chanda Rubin and Jimmy Arias. The match solidified my determination for a Woman’s tennis tournament at Sky!
While this was the first time that females have played in Jim Courrier’s Legends Tourneys it certainly should not be the last. The crowd was heavily involved in the mixed doubles matches and while all of the tournament players constantly graced the VIP Club between matches, none were more adored and smothered for autographs and pictures than with Anna.
So the invite goes out first to Anna…and then to everyone else to be apart of the First Annual Female Sky Invitational in 2010.
Humblest regards,
Bo
